Location: Alameda, California; Albuquerque, New Mexico; or remote within the United States. The role may involve periodic work in laboratory, manufacturing, industrial, test-facility, or controlled environments, some travel, and occasional schedule flexibility for project milestones.
Salary: $122,270–$143,847 annually for employees working onsite at the Alameda, California headquarters.

What you will do
- Develop, allocate, maintain, and trace technical requirements across product and plant architectures.
- Translate program objectives, stakeholder needs, design inputs, and regulatory considerations into verifiable requirements.
- Perform functional analysis and decomposition while developing functional, logical, and physical system architectures.
- Define and manage interfaces between systems, organizations, suppliers, facilities, and external partners.
- Develop verification strategies, plans, acceptance criteria, and evidence for demonstrating requirement compliance.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary technical reviews, resolve cross-functional integration issues, and manage technical risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in systems, mechanical, nuclear, electrical, aerospace engineering, or a related technical field.
- Professional experience applying systems engineering methods to complex engineering programs or products.
- Experience with requirements development, allocation, maintenance, traceability, functional analysis, architecture development, interface management, integration, or verification and validation.
- Experience coordinating technical reviews or leading focused cross-functional engineering activities.
- Strong technical writing, communication, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Access to controlled facility information requires Department of Energy authorization under 10 CFR Part 810; applicable foreign-national licensing restrictions may apply.
Nice to have
- Experience in nuclear energy, power generation, aerospace, defense, energy, or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience with Jama Connect, model-based systems engineering, configuration management, design reviews, trade studies, or technical baseline management.
- Familiarity with nuclear quality, licensing, safety, regulatory practices, ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, or the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook.
