Federal Solution Leader (AI)

Location: Tysons, Virginia, United States. Onsite work supporting federal, defense, and intelligence customers in secure and classified environments.

Salary: $130,000–$167,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design data flows, integrations, identity models, and deployment architectures across on-premises, air-gapped, and government cloud environments.
• Prototype, build, debug, and integrate production solutions using code, data pipelines, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Identify and quantify high-impact AI, machine learning, optimization, and software opportunities for federal mission workflows.
• Lead technical direction, roadmap decisions, risk management, and collaboration with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and industry experts.
• Run customer working sessions, brief government executives, and communicate technical status and mission impact.
• Deploy solutions through UAT and production while supporting federal security, compliance, accreditation, account growth, and product feedback.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and authorization to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship are required.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required.
• Ability to architect enterprise AI and data solutions and work hands-on with technologies such as Python, SQL, data platforms, APIs, CI/CD, containers, cloud services, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong software or data engineering experience, or deep military, intelligence, or federal mission expertise combined with demonstrated technical fluency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical or quantitative discipline.
• Deep expertise in at least one federal mission domain and experience working with senior technical and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• CI or Full-Scope Polygraph and experience with classified, SCIF, or air-gapped environments.
• U.S. military or government service and experience supporting defense or Intelligence Community programs.
• Experience with generative AI, predictive maintenance, optimization, decision-support systems, or large-scale AI/ML deployments.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, ATO processes, ITAR, or EAR.
• Experience as a technical lead or staff engineer in a SaaS or enterprise software company with a forward-deployed delivery model.
