Engineer 2 - Configuration and Commissioning (AV)

Location: Atlanta, GA, USA; frequent travel to client job sites is required, with local travel typically within a two-hour driving distance and occasional remote travel.

Salary: $45.67–$56.53 per hour

What you will do

• Commission and pre-commission AV systems at client sites and in the office according to project scope, drawings, and design intent.
• Configure equipment, load and test programming, debug control systems, and document changes through redlines and quality checklists.
• Configure AV networks, coordinate with client network teams, and troubleshoot complex systems by tracing signal flow.
• Create and modify DSP files, with an emphasis on AEC optimization for videoconferencing, and coordinate control objects with programmers.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and provide lessons learned to installation, design, and pre-sales engineering teams.
• Archive configuration and programming files and maintain relevant certifications and technical knowledge.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in AV installation or commissioning.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic and complex AV and network systems and communicate clearly with project teams.
• Familiarity with MTR and Zoom Rooms.
• Required DSP certification from Biamp, QSC, or BSS.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use a personal vehicle for local travel.
• Ability to spend most of the workday on job sites, lift at least 40 pounds occasionally, and climb ladders and stairs.

Nice to have

• AVIXA CTS-I or CTS, Extron AV Associate, or Audinate Dante certification.
• Control certification from QSC, Extron, or Crestron.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, field installation, or system design.
• Knowledge of broadcast, hybrid conference, or live-event systems.
• Biamp Tesira Server, Q-SYS, Extron, or Shure certification.
