Project Engineer III

Location: Washington, D.C.; no remote or telework allowed. Face-to-face work with the customer in an office setting is required, with travel of up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Salary: $138,814.75–$161,719.18 projected annual compensation range.

What you will do

• Support the U.S./UK Joint Program and serve as the hirify.global liaison for the U.S. Navy customer at the Washington Navy Yard.
• Coordinate and lead technical program meetings with U.S. and UK government entities and contractors.
• Prepare technical summaries, reports, presentations, agendas, and other contract documentation.
• Manage atomic information exchange reporting and support compliance with JAIEG and Polaris Sales Agreement export-control requirements.
• Monitor electronic file transmissions, track customer action items, and support classification reviews and security logistics.
• Maintain UK-interest requirements in DOORS, generate periodic reports, and manage a small team.

Requirements

• BS or BA in a technical science or engineering field and 5+ years of experience.
• DoD Top Secret or DOE Q clearance is required.
• Experience managing a team, organizing logistics, and coordinating meetings.
• Strong technical writing, editing, presentation, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Understanding of technical terminology, systems engineering concepts, and security-related operations.
• Ability to work face-to-face with the customer in an office setting and travel up to 30%.

Nice to have

• MS or MA in a technical science or engineering field with 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience in classified environments and knowledge of the Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile program.
• Familiarity with the design and military utilization of nuclear weapons.
