DoW SkillBridge Fellowship - Assistant Manager, Branch Office (Philadelphia)

Location: Philadelphia, PA, United States; on-site branch role

Salary: $33.71–$42.07 per hour if hired as a full-time Navy Federal employee. DoW SkillBridge participants are not compensated by Navy Federal and continue receiving military compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Supervise branch staff and support delivery of lending, deposit, and other credit union products and services.
• Monitor cash operations, vault procedures, ATM operations, self-audits, and asset security.
• Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and evaluate team members while setting performance goals.
• Support budgets, purchasing, expense tracking, records retention, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in financial presentations, local marketing activities, member events, and promotional programs.
• Analyze reports and trends, maintain policy compliance, and act as Manager in the incumbent's absence.

Requirements

• Must be an eligible service member currently approved to participate in the DoW SkillBridge program.
• Working knowledge of consumer lending, credit cards, mortgage and equity loans, savings, checking accounts, and related federal regulations.
• Knowledge of cash and ATM operations, member or customer service, and financial products.
• Experience or exposure to mentoring and leading employees, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organization, planning, time management, judgment, communication, word-processing, and spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to interact diplomatically with staff, management, vendors, and members.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent training, education, and experience.
• Familiarity with financial institution regulations, lending practices, and retail banking best practices.
