Assistant Branch Manager

Location: Fully onsite at 211 East Holly Street, Bellingham, Washington 98225, United States

Salary: $24.00–$28.00 per hour, with potential performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Ensure branch operations meet standards and maintain satisfactory audit results.
• Monitor sales and service goals and coach team members on strengthening customer relationships.
• Build relationships with consumers and local businesses while providing proactive financial solutions.
• Support personal banking activities, including account opening, loan requests, and credit information gathering.
• Manage, lead, train, and coach tellers, with potential oversight of personal bankers.
• Oversee branch opening and closing, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers, collections, stop payments, and branch controls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of retail banking experience required.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Consumer and small business lending origination experience preferred.
• Customer service experience, sales relationship-building ability, leadership, mentoring, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
• Must register as a Bank MLO and comply with SAFE Act requirements; authorization is limited to open-end transactions such as home equity lines of credit.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, vocational degree, or technical degree in banking, business, or a related field.
• Equivalent relevant work experience.
