Branch Manager (Banking)

Salary: $62,200–$103,600 annual (USD)

What you will do

• Manage branch activities, profitability, sales, business development, operations, servicing, and customer experience.
• Lead, coach, develop, and performance-manage branch staff, including hiring and staffing decisions.
• Identify retail and business banking needs and grow business relationships through outreach and community engagement.
• Oversee customer service, complex account servicing, error resolution, and timely issue ownership.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000 and bundle appropriate products and services.
• Maintain compliance, security, fraud-prevention, audit, regulatory, and internal control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or proven leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services, and client relationship management.
• M&T Way Certification and Precision Leadership Certification.
• Ability to use common PC software, including Microsoft Office, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensing may be required within 18 months; Business Banking Specialist qualification is required within 18 months of hire.

• Demonstrated sales and business development success with an understanding of profitability.
• Strong financial services product knowledge, communication, organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Spanish or bilingual communication skills.
• Experience with internet and email.
