Branch Manager (Banking)

Salary: $75,900–$126,500 annual (USD)

What you will do

• Manage branch profitability, sales, business development, customer experience, employee experience, and daily operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop branch staff, including hiring, performance management, promotions, and staffing decisions.
• Identify retail and business banking needs, grow customer relationships, and conduct proactive outreach and outside calling.
• Build community presence and partnerships across the bank to resolve customer, service, and employee issues.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000 and bundle appropriate products and services.
• Maintain operational, security, fraud-prevention, audit, regulatory, and internal control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services, and client relationship management.
• Ability to maintain SAFE Act registration requirements and meet applicable insurance licensing expectations.
• M&T Way Certification and Precision Leadership Certification.
• Proficiency with common PC software, including Microsoft Office, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Nice to have

• Business development and sales success with an understanding of profitability.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, prioritization, and customer service coaching skills.
• Spanish bilingual skills and experience with internet and email.
