Program Manager II (Payments Modernization)

What you will do

• Lead enterprise-wide payment modernization programs supporting Corporate & Institutional Banking objectives.
• Manage interconnected projects and workstreams across business, technology, operations, risk, compliance, finance, and external partners.
• Develop program plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, delivery roadmaps, budgets, forecasts, and funding allocations.
• Oversee modernization initiatives involving ACH, wire transfers, real-time payments, digital payments, and payment infrastructure.
• Lead governance forums, steering committees, executive reviews, stakeholder communications, and data-driven decision-making.
• Manage program risks, issues, controls, audits, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• University or college degree, typically a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of industry-relevant experience in program, project, portfolio, or technology delivery management.
• Experience leading large-scale strategic technology initiatives in financial services or banking.
• Experience with payment modernization, payment transformation, ACH, wire transfers, real-time payments, payment processing, and related operational workflows.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, resources, risks, dependencies, and delivery across complex stakeholder groups.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies in highly regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Corporate & Institutional Banking or Treasury Management organizations.
• Knowledge of payments regulations, industry standards, and risk management practices.
