Program Manager I (Healthcare)

Location: Remote in the United States; applicants residing in Illinois, particularly the greater Chicago area, are highly preferred due to in-person department meetings.

Salary: $27.02–$48.55 per hour

What you will do

• Support risk adjustment programs and strategic healthcare initiatives across clinical, operational, analytics, compliance, provider, and vendor teams.
• Coordinate requirements gathering, planning, scheduling, resourcing, execution, and deployment of department initiatives.
• Translate program data and performance reporting into actionable insights for internal stakeholders and external clinical providers.
• Coordinate with the PMO and Compliance teams on timelines, status updates, business requirements, and deliverables.
• Maintain process documentation, meeting records, action items, issue lists, risk plans, clinical reports, and policy materials.
• Manage programs through the full life cycle, communicating status, resolving issues, mitigating risks, and improving operational processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of project management or business process experience.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional programs and presenting performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Employment-based visa sponsorship is not available, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, and CPT.

Nice to have

• Project management or healthcare experience.
• Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, commercial, or managed care healthcare programs.
• Experience analyzing program performance metrics and supporting operational improvement.
• Certification in project management, program management, process improvement, or Agile methodologies, such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum, Lean, or Six Sigma.
