Data Governance Analyst (Data Privacy)

Salary: $86,600–$144,900 per year

What you will do

• Process data-use requests through the Data Activation Portal and assess privacy requirements and approval considerations.
• Analyze data and identify trends using GCP BigQuery, Alteryx, R, and Python.
• Extract, transform, and load data for analysis and reporting using SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Define and implement privacy safeguards, access controls, and responsible data-use practices across enterprise functions.
• Collaborate with legal, business, security, risk, data stewardship, and application-development stakeholders.
• Support GDPR and CCPA audits, access reviews, governance assessments, issue escalation, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, business analytics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, process management, project management, consulting, data management, or a related role.
• Experience working with business, legal, privacy, security, risk, and technology stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data management tools, data standards, enterprise data governance, privacy, access management, and security controls.
• Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as BigQuery, Alteryx, R, Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in data science, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and similar regulatory frameworks.
• Experience creating data-protection controls, supporting privacy audits, access reviews, or data-use approval workflows.
• ISACA, CISSP, privacy, risk, security, or governance certifications.
• Experience with Agile delivery practices and data engineering tools.
