Senior Manager, Data Analytics (AI Commerce)

Location: Upstream Building AR Bentonville Home Office, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Annual salary: $90,000–$180,000 in Bentonville; $117,000–$234,000 in Sunnyvale, plus potential performance bonuses and stock.

What you will do

• Analyze and validate interaction data across Search, Personalization, and AI Commerce, including Sparky.
• Apply statistical methods to improve search relevance, reduce discovery friction, and increase conversational AI adoption.
• Lead analytical support for Weekly and Monthly Business Reviews, tracking KPI health and feature performance.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to convert insights into roadmap priorities.
• Prepare quantitative inputs for executive whitepapers, strategic briefs, and business decisions.
• Mentor junior analysts on data storytelling, analytical rigor, and governance compliance.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data analytics, data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of data quality management, data governance, and enterprise data architecture.
• Experience with advanced analytics and visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau, or Power BI.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to mentor analytics teams.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, master’s degree plus 2 years, or 6 years of relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience in retail, merchandising, healthcare, eCommerce, or a related industry.
• Master’s degree in a relevant business, analytics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or information technology field.
