Business Intelligence Developer Senior (Business Intelligence)

Location: Hybrid role requiring in-office attendance 1–2 days per week at Pulse Point locations in Richmond, Virginia; Grand Prairie, Texas; Lake Mary or Tampa, Florida; St. Louis, Missouri; or Atlanta, Georgia. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance from an office.

Salary: $101,600–$152,400 per year for the Virginia location.

What you will do

• Design and develop analytic applications, reporting tools, and strategic reports using business intelligence platforms and SQL.
• Gather business and technical requirements, define application scope, and prepare functional and technical specifications.
• Connect operational source systems and data repositories, conduct data discovery, and maintain knowledge of data warehouse structures and integrity.
• Code, test, maintain, and performance-tune complex information-system components and SQL queries.
• Collaborate with database developers, analysts, project managers, engineers, and external partners to deliver contracted data solutions.
• Manage small projects, conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and provide technical training and support.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, plus at least three years of experience on one platform or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with business intelligence tools, databases, or business applications.
• Knowledge of Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or equivalent database software.
• Advanced SQL query-writing, data-model navigation, data integrity, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to present technical subjects to non-technical audiences and document solutions effectively.
• Ability to work from within commuting distance of one of the listed U.S. office locations.

Nice to have

• Experience leading people or small projects and mentoring junior team members.
• ETL coding with Python or ETL software such as Microsoft SSIS.
• Experience with pharmacy, drug production, contact center, manufacturing, or similar operations.
