Business Intelligence Engineer III (Power BI)

Location: Hybrid, with in-office work two days per week in Sacramento; California residents only

Salary: $117,436.80–$176,155.20 annual salary

What you will do

• Architect, engineer, and optimize full-stack data products and analytics applications.
• Manage the full lifecycle of complex data products from raw data through finished applications.
• Develop backend data engineering, data transformations, and ETL workflows using SSIS and ADF.
• Design frontend application architecture, user experiences, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• Translate complex business problems into engineered decision-support systems.
• Solve novel technical problems involving application interactivity, performance optimization, and custom data integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of progressive experience in BI engineering, data product development, or full-stack analytics.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL, relational database concepts, database programming, and data analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, BI tools, reporting, analytics, and data visualization.
• Working knowledge of DAX, calculated measures, semantic models, or tabular models.
• Epic Cogito Certification and one tool-specific certification are required within one year of starting.
