Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering (Medtech)

Location: On-site in Hebron, Kentucky, United States. Approximately 20% travel is required, along with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Salary: $165,000–$175,000 annually, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing engineers and drive Lean and Six Sigma process-improvement initiatives.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to resolve manufacturing issues, reduce downtime, and maintain smooth production operations.
• Lead new product introduction activities, including process development, validation, and equipment qualification from pilot through full-scale production.
• Evaluate and implement equipment, automation, and other technologies to improve manufacturing capability and scalability.
• Partner with Quality to maintain process controls, conduct root-cause analysis and CAPA, and support regulatory compliance.
• Manage engineering projects and collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, R&D, and Quality teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a GMP environment, including 4+ years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, new product introduction, process validation, and equipment qualification.
• Knowledge of assembly, machining, fabrication, automation, and inspection processes.
• Strong team-building, coaching, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Hebron, Kentucky, travel approximately 20%, and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice to have

• Green or Black Belt certification and cGMP medtech or life sciences experience.
• Experience with CAD, Minitab, JMP, PLCs, SCADA, MES, or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of AI/ML integration with automation and relevant quality systems such as ISO 13485.
• Master's degree in engineering, MBA, or project management experience.
