Construction Support Manager (Natural Gas Pipelines)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; hybrid. Regular travel throughout the assigned region and 24-hour emergency call-out availability are required.

What you will do

• Provide quality assurance and quality control for natural gas pipeline project inspections.
• Support project managers with scope development, schedules, cost control, safety, environmental objectives, and construction methodologies.
• Coordinate construction inspection teams, staffing, training documentation, specifications, permits, safety plans, and project records.
• Monitor construction progress, identify deviations, support corrective or acceleration plans, and help resolve contractor disputes.
• Review change orders, inspection documentation, redlines, as-built surveys, closeout records, PSSR, and commissioning activities.
• Provide direction and performance oversight to third-party contractors and inspectors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of experience in pipeline construction and general knowledge of API standards.
• Familiarity with construction techniques, including API 1104 welding procedures.
• Prior supervisory or project management experience and knowledge of OSHA construction safety requirements.
• Current, valid state driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook, plus strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Bachelor of Science degree in civil, mechanical, petroleum, or chemical engineering.
• Experience with storage tank operations, inspections, alarms, and sampling.
