Location: Hybrid, with regular in-office presence in San Diego, California; travel up to 20% to project sites or partner offices.
Salary: $121,628–$152,035 per year.

What you will do
- Manage engineering scopes, deliverables, schedules, budgets, consultants, and direct reports across assigned renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
- Support business development pursuits, EPC bids, pricing reviews, and bid strategy discussions.
- Review owner, client, and EPC contract documents to identify requirements, risks, assumptions, engineering interfaces, and value engineering opportunities.
- Coordinate engineering requirements and design impacts with permitting teams, project managers, field teams, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Track design comments, changes, cost and schedule impacts, technical clarifications, and responses through closure.
- Lead engineering standards, QA/QC improvements, staff development, and alignment between engineering, project, permitting, and field departments.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in EPC, renewable energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- At least 3 years of experience managing direct reports and a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, IBC, ASCE, NESC, NFPA, and utility standards.
- Engineer-in-Training certification, AutoCAD proficiency, and working knowledge of Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools.
- Strong organization, communication, collaboration, accountability, and adaptability in a fast-paced EPC environment.
