Project Manager I / Project Manager II – Industrial / Commercial Electrical Systems Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based primarily at the Raleigh, NC office; candidates should live within a reasonable daily commute to a hirify.global facility. Periodic work in adverse and emergency conditions is required.

Work schedule includes both remote and onsite work after onboarding. Travel is expected at 5–15%.

What you will do

• Manage or support project planning and execution across scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, communication, security, and integration.
• Work with business developers and customers to identify needs and develop cost-effective electrical solutions.
• Create conceptual engineering drawings, cost estimates, contracts, pricing support, and customer proposals.
• Design and develop solutions involving low- and medium-voltage infrastructure, distributed generation, backup power, UPS, power quality, monitoring, and control systems.
• Support construction, develop commissioning plans, and provide technical assistance for operational issues.
• Develop and maintain equipment specifications and standard designs for Energy Services projects.

Requirements

• Project engineering experience with commercial low- and medium-voltage electrical systems and backup power systems.
• Understanding of electrical infrastructure and distributed generation design processes.
• Project Manager I: Associate’s degree and two years of related experience, or high school/GED and five years of related experience.
• Project Manager II: Bachelor’s degree and five years of related experience, or high school/GED and nine years of related experience.
• Ability to manage project responsibilities, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and work in compliance with safety requirements.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer, Project Management Professional, Certified Energy Manager, or relevant contractor license.
• Experience delivering electrical infrastructure to large commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
• Experience with SKM, EasyPower, ETAP, CYME, NEC, NESC, and applicable industrial codes.
• Ability to lead diverse teams and develop expertise as a technical advisor to business development teams.
