Director, Warehouse Systems Operations (WMS)

Salary: $122,500–$159,170 per year

What you will do

• Lead warehouse systems operations, including user administration, configuration, business rules, reporting, production support, performance monitoring, and system availability.
• Partner with warehouse operations to optimize receiving, put-away, replenishment, wave planning, task interleaving, picking, shipping, inventory control, equipment utilization, and material flow.
• Evaluate workflow and configuration changes that reduce manual workarounds, improve warehouse performance, and avoid unnecessary customization.
• Coordinate production incident response, restore normal operations, reduce disruption, and support internal and external customers.
• Develop executive dashboards and operational reports for data-driven decision-making.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, inventory accuracy, order cycle time, labor efficiency, service performance, uptime, and system integrity.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in warehouse systems, distribution operations, supply chain technology, or related leadership roles.
• 5+ years of experience managing, supporting, or administering enterprise warehouse management systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, information systems, industrial engineering, business, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer-service, and service-orientation skills.
• Experience collaborating with warehouse operations, IT, engineering, automation, ERP applications, project management, quality, finance, facilities, safety, and executive leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise WMS platforms such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Körber, Oracle WMS, SAP EWM, HighJump, or Softeon.
• Knowledge of warehouse execution and control systems, material flow control, conveyor systems, sortation, and robotics.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel, operational dashboards, and KPI reporting.
