Director, Operations (DSD)

Location: On-site in the Hunt's Point area of the Bronx, New York, United States; five days per week. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday during business hours, with flexibility for operational needs and occasional evening or weekend work.

Salary: $160,000–$170,000 annually, plus a possible discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead warehouse, routing, fleet, and delivery operations for the New York DSD facility.
• Set operating standards, staffing models, performance goals, and continuous improvement plans.
• Manage the Senior Route Sales Manager and Warehouse Manager while providing indirect leadership to frontline warehouse and delivery employees.
• Optimize delivery territories, route structures, service frequencies, vehicle utilization, and on-time performance.
• Oversee receiving, inventory control, picking, loading, returns, sanitation, product rotation, and facility operations.
• Lead operational continuity, safety, food quality, regulatory compliance, and SQF certification activities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in distribution, transportation, warehouse, or logistics operations.
• Significant experience managing food warehouse operations and 5+ years leading managers and frontline operational teams.
• Experience with warehouse management systems, routing platforms, transportation management systems, telematics, and delivery technology.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week in the Bronx, New York.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as needed.
