Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Onsite at the Rotterdam, NY facility; company address listed in Schenectady, NY, USA. Travel to other TOMRA sites may be required.

Salary: $80,000–$85,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead daily maintenance activities, assign work, and coordinate resources across operational needs.
• Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for conveyors, power transmission systems, hydraulic balers, compressors, docks, doors, and building systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation components.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and implement improvements that reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Manage spare-parts inventory, maintenance work orders, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Promote safe maintenance practices, conduct training and onboarding, and implement controls to reduce HSE risks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or material-handling maintenance experience, including at least 3 years leading or managing employees.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, and automated processing systems.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, VFDs, motor controls, and automation systems.
• Proficiency with schematics, drawings, electrical test equipment, CMMS systems, work-order management, and maintenance planning.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and safe maintenance practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, pulling, and pushing and safely use hand tools, power tools, forklifts, lifts, and other material-handling equipment.

Nice to have

• A.S. in Engineering Technology, equivalent vocational training, or related education.
• Welding certification.
• Operator certifications for forklifts, telehandlers, loaders, or similar equipment.
• Experience maintaining powered industrial trucks and material-handling equipment.
