Maintenance Tech I (Automation/Robotics)

Location: Glens Falls, New York, United States; onsite, 1st shift

Salary: $26.25–$38.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments on conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment.
• Document maintenance activities, operating logs, equipment issues, and repairs in CMMS and ticketing systems.
• Perform root cause analysis of major downtime events and identify corrective actions for equipment malfunctions and production delays.
• Assemble and test equipment, verify production operation, and examine defects and spoilage causes.
• Support maintenance mechanics and complete facility projects including lighting, doors, furniture, ceiling tiles, carpentry, plumbing, and building systems.
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash protection, PPE use, and hazard elimination.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems, with a fundamental understanding of machinery and equipment.
• Basic proficiency with multiple computer software packages, including Microsoft Excel, and the ability to maintain technical records and reports.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally, stand for 8–12 hours, climb ladders and stairs, and work at heights or in constrained positions.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%, operate material-handling equipment, work overtime, and learn new equipment.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or an equivalent field.
• At least 3 years of building maintenance experience servicing a facility larger than 75,000 square feet.
