SAFe Agile Principal Software Quality Specialist

Salary: $109,600–$137,000 per year, plus bonus or variable incentive pay

What you will do

• Define and drive modern quality engineering practices across the software development lifecycle, including shift-left testing, test automation, and continuous validation.
• Improve unit, integration, API, and end-to-end test coverage with engineering teams.
• Establish scalable test automation frameworks, CI/CD quality gates, and release validation strategies.
• Embed quality criteria, risk-based testing, and validation into Agile and SAFe workflows, including backlog refinement, sprint execution, and PI planning.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and improve flow efficiency, cycle time, and release predictability.
• Lead adoption of quality practices through coaching, training, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• 8–10+ years of experience in software quality, quality engineering, or SDET leadership.
• Experience working in Agile and SAFe environments, preferably at ART level.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and quality gates.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC, modern QA practices, risk-based testing, and engineering-led quality improvement.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or equivalent tools, plus strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills.

Nice to have

• SAFe experience or certification.
• Familiarity with observability or monitoring tools.
• Exposure to AI-driven quality engineering.
• Working knowledge of ISO/QMS.
