Quality Engineer Lead (Python/Java)

Location: In-office in Pittsburgh, PA; Strongsville, OH; Birmingham, AL; or Dallas, TX, United States

Base salary: $86,250–$158,125 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead test strategy, planning, execution governance, and quality reporting across multiple applications and business domains.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing solutions using Python and Java.
• Integrate quality engineering practices with CI/CD pipelines and apply AI-enabled testing approaches.
• Manage testing risks, defects, resources, environments, and release-readiness reporting.
• Partner with developers, product owners, QE analysts, business stakeholders, and technology leaders throughout the SDLC.
• Mentor QE professionals and establish quality engineering standards, metrics, and best practices.

Requirements

• Lead-level experience designing, developing, and delivering scalable software testing solutions.
• Strong expertise in Python and Java-based test automation.
• Experience providing technical direction, making architectural decisions, and implementing modern automation frameworks.
• Experience with end-to-end project delivery, test governance, quality metrics, risk management, and technical documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable education, certification, and experience; roles at this level typically require 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.
