Application Quality Assurance Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid — Springfield, Illinois or Plano, Texas office

Salary: $89,800–$125,500 per year, commensurate with experience and location

What you will do

• Develop and execute test strategies, plans, schedules, resource estimates, and release-readiness assessments.
• Coordinate functional, system integration, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
• Lead defect triage, monitor defect aging and severity, and manage quality risks through resolution.
• Lead QA stand-ups, assign work across onshore and offshore resources, and mentor junior analysts.
• Drive shift-left testing, risk-based testing, process compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Identify automation opportunities, collaborate with automation engineers, and promote AI-assisted testing tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Eight or more years of software quality assurance experience and five or more years leading QA activities or teams.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments, enterprise software implementations, and onshore/offshore QA resources.
• Strong knowledge of test planning, execution, defect management, risk assessment, release readiness, and requirements traceability.
• Experience with test automation and AI-assisted testing.
• Experience with one or more of Azure DevOps, Jira, UFT, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, SoapUI, Excel, Power BI, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.

Nice to have

• Insurance industry experience.
• ISTQB Advanced Level, Azure DevOps, Test/QA Management, or Scrum Agile certification.
