What you will do

• Build, maintain, and modernize secure C#/.NET automated testing frameworks for FHWA Office of Policy applications.
• Migrate legacy Selenium test suites to reusable Playwright (.NET) frameworks.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, cross-browser, API, and post-deployment smoke testing.
• Integrate automated test execution and diagnostic reporting into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, architects, database and systems administrators, and client stakeholders throughout the Agile SDLC.
• Document test automation plans, framework architectures, test strategies, and interface verification guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of professional IT experience, including 5 years in software development, application programming, or test automation engineering.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing object-oriented C# and Microsoft .NET test automation frameworks.
• At least 3 years of experience with both Playwright (.NET) and Selenium WebDriver, including legacy test migration.
• At least 3 years of experience writing SQL queries for Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle and verifying backend data integrity.
• Experience with Agile SDLC practices, JSON/XML, REST API testing, browser Developer Tools, troubleshooting, and technical test documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience configuring Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Azure Test Plans, Repos, and Boards.
• Experience testing Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Managed Instance, or Azure Dedicated SQL Pool.
• Federal IT experience, especially with the Department of Transportation or FHWA Office of Policy.
• Advanced Playwright trace, network, console, and database performance diagnostics.
• Experience using Google Gemini and Notebook AI models to streamline work processes and products.
