Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Co-Op

Location: Onsite in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States; full-time, 40 hours per week, from January to October 2027 with flexible dates.

Salary: $23.50–$52.50 per hour, depending on program year, discipline, degree, and experience.

What you will do

• Support EH&S projects across Innovative Medicine, MedTech, Supply Chain, and Corporate/Enterprise functions.
• Contribute to environmental health initiatives such as air, chemical management, regulatory compliance, waste, water, and wastewater programs.
• Support workplace health and safety activities including hazard identification, risk assessments, industrial hygiene, machine safety, and process safety.
• Contribute to environmental sustainability work involving climate and energy, supplier standards, sustainable products and packaging, and employee engagement.
• Balance multiple projects while developing analytical, leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Collaborate with EH&S professionals and participate in coaching, mentoring, networking, and cross-functional teamwork.

Requirements

• Completion of freshman year at an accredited university.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an EH&S-related field, including environmental science, environmental engineering, occupational health and safety, public health, safety management, engineering, sustainability, or a related discipline.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher across all college coursework.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to execute results while balancing multiple projects.
• Self-starter able to work independently and contribute to team goals.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States and must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
