TL;DR
Environmental Health & Safety Co-Op (Manufacturing): Supporting site environmental, health, and safety programs through regulatory inspections, employee training, incident investigations, and corrective-action tracking with an accent on workplace safety and compliance. Focus on identifying root causes, maintaining EHS records, and communicating safety initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Location: 100% onsite in Chaska, Minnesota; Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., January through June 2027.
Salary: $20–$30 per hour, depending on overall skills.

What you will do
- Support site Environmental, Health & Safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with regulatory inspections, audits, employee training, new-hire orientation, and proactive safety activities.
- Participate in incident investigations, identify root causes, and support corrective and preventive action implementation.
- Manage EHS data, documentation, records, and compliance-related information.
- Communicate EHS initiatives, policies, and safety information across the organization.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university co-op program and graduating in 2027 or 2028.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of environmental, health, and safety principles through coursework, projects, or previous experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Able to work 40 hours per week onsite and lift 30 pounds; may work in loud environments and near chemicals with required protection.

- Coursework or experience in Engineering Controls, Continuous Improvement, or Machine and Controls Safety.
