Intern/Co-op - HES&S Safety and Industrial Hygiene

Location: On-site in Findlay, Ohio, or other listed U.S. locations; 40 hours per week

Salary: $24.09–$35.96 per hour

What you will do

• Support health, safety, environmental, and security planning and compliance activities.
• Assist with facility audits, governmental inspections, and compliance with regulations.
• Contribute to employee training programs and industrial hygiene activities.
• Participate in equipment maintenance, HES&S projects, incident investigations, and emergency preparedness and response.
• Prepare project reports and coordinate with Marathon business units and government agencies.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or higher program throughout the internship, preferably in occupational safety and health, safety management, public health, industrial hygiene, environmental health and safety, fire protection and safety, or a related field.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Able to safely climb multiple flights of stairs or ladders and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting and work-related travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
