Base pay: $28.00–$36.00 per hour

A large general contractor providing heavy civil and industrial construction services, including highways, bridges, underground utilities, water and wastewater facilities, and marine construction.
What you will do
- Operate excavators and dozers on heavy civil construction projects.
- Support pipe and utility crews, including working safely inside trench boxes.
- Work on highway and bridge projects by moving and placing materials.
- Inspect fluids before starting equipment and perform routine lubrication, fueling, and cleaning.
- Interpret ground markings, hand signals, and grade stakes while following supervisor instructions.
- Assist construction crews with other physical duties when equipment operation is not available.
Requirements
- Prior experience as an equipment operator is required.
- At least five years of related experience and/or training.
- Experience must match the requirements of the assigned project.
- Certification or approval from the Safety Department or designation as a competent person.
- Must pass a practical skills test.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, climb into and out of equipment, and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.
