Shop Mechanic II (Heavy Equipment)

Location: Tumwater, Washington, United States; onsite shop-based role

Salary: $28.00–$39.00 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles and construction equipment.
• Lead electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify practical repair solutions.
• Perform DOT inspections and support the safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
• Work independently and collaboratively while communicating effectively and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of experience with pickup trucks, heavy trucks, construction or utility equipment, and trailers; Ford experience is preferred.
• Experience with aerial equipment and DOT inspections.
• Valid driver’s license for the vehicles operated and an acceptable driving record.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to provide basic hand tools.
• CDL Class A and a valid Federal Medical Card are desired.
• Diesel mechanic program completion, Master ASE credits, and forklift experience are desired; forklift training is provided.
