Maintenance Shop Technician A (Diesel Trucks)

Location: Beatty, Nevada, USA; onsite work

Salary: $27.15–$37.35 per hour, depending on hiring locality.

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks, refuse bodies, chassis, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair engine, fuel, aftertreatment, braking, suspension, steering, drivetrain, HVAC, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Use scan tools and other electronic equipment to identify malfunctions and diagnose electrical concerns.
• Perform line maintenance, welding, fabrication, inspections, and repairs on-site and on the road.
• Complete company training programs and support drivers operating the fleet.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate strong technical expertise.
• Ability to independently inspect and repair several heavy-truck or automotive systems, including suspension and steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, and diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications T1–T8, LNG/CNG experience, and Class B or higher CDL are preferred but not required.
