Senior Quality Engineer (Automotive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Define quality activities, processes, and standards for manufactured materials, components, and products.
• Build and maintain systems that ensure consistent delivery of quality products.
• Audit and monitor manufacturing processes and outputs against internal and regulatory standards.
• Lead projects, support continuous improvement and automation, and develop solutions to manufacturing problems.
• Coach lower-level professionals and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Interface with customers on PPAP submissions, complaints, and audits.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a master’s degree, a PhD without experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with APQP, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, and SPC.
• Experience with IATF, VDA, and customer-specific requirements in the automotive or truck industry.
• Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Employment requires completion of a U.S. Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. Temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify candidates.

Nice to have

• CQE certification from ASQ.
• Green Belt or Black Belt training or certification.
• Lead Auditor certification for IATF or ISO 9001.
