Senior Electronics Technician (Automotive)

What you will do

• Perform advanced soldering and desoldering on through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and test embedded electronic and electromechanical systems.
• Design, assemble, and test electrical components for customer products, prototypes, and test systems.
• Support engineers with new design development and implementation.
• Coordinate intern activities while managing multiple technical assignments and priorities.
• Source and order parts, maintain inventory, and keep the electronics laboratory safe and organized.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with soldering and desoldering through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and testing experience with electronic and electromechanical devices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to define and enforce laboratory procedures, manage request flows, and handle escalations.
• Ability to train junior technicians in soldering and desoldering techniques.
• Proficiency with computer-based systems and Microsoft Office; AutoCAD familiarity is a plus.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Tier 1 automotive industry experience.
• Experience with SAP or similar inventory and data management systems.
• Military 2M certification or equivalent civilian soldering certification.
