Field Medical Outcomes, Director, MD

Location: Remote, with territory coverage limited to Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Colorado, and Wyoming. The candidate must reside in one of these states, be within a 2-hour drive of a major airport, and travel 40–50% of the time.

Annual base salary: $230,900–$384,800, plus a 25% target bonus and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead medical outcomes strategy and account planning for assigned payers, integrated delivery systems, specialty pharmacy providers, and other organized healthcare customers.
• Provide objective medical information through real-world evidence, pharmacoeconomic models, outcomes tools, educational programs, and non-interventional studies.
• Design and interpret studies, healthcare data analyses, and Health Outcomes Projects and Evaluations to identify care gaps and improve population health.
• Assess and support health information technology initiatives, clinical content, electronic data collection, workflow improvements, and EHR-related solutions.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, HEOR, Health Economics, Clinical Informatics, account teams, and external healthcare stakeholders on medical partnerships and research projects.
• Present scientific and medical information to payers, formulary decision makers, advisory boards, professional associations, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health science and an MD or DO with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in clinical or formulary management, managed care, the pharmaceutical industry, quality improvement, data analytics, or HEOR.
• Significant experience interacting with payers and other organized healthcare customers.
• Strong knowledge of study design, methodology, data analysis, interpretation, scientific communication, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license, permanent U.S. work authorization, and ability to reside in the assigned territory are required.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Field-based medical or outcomes experience.
• Experience with claims data, electronic health records, clinical informatics, or health information technology.
• Experience with EHR optimization, clinical solutions, statistics software, Microsoft Access, or data programming.
• Residency or fellowship experience and knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system.
