Senior Director, Medical Evidence and Outcomes Research

Location: Remote, US; Cambridge, Massachusetts or Morristown, New Jersey. Periodic travel is required for customer engagement meetings, internal meetings, congresses, and corporate events.

What you will do

• Design and develop integrated evidence generation plans for local needs across the North America Specialty Care portfolio.
• Provide methodological expertise on real-world data, real-world evidence, vendors, data assets, and studies supporting US labeling requirements.
• Build and maintain scientific partnerships with payers, population healthcare decision-makers, health outcomes research organizations, and academic collaborators.
• Lead health outcomes, disease management, population health, quality improvement, and clinical insight initiatives.
• Coordinate submissions of real-world evidence and outcomes research for congresses and scientific publications.
• Align global and US medical, clinical development, HEVA, access strategy, commercial, and RWE stakeholders around evidence priorities and lifecycle planning.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US and able to travel periodically for business meetings and events.
• Advanced degree in a healthcare or science field required; PharmD, PhD, or MS strongly preferred. An MD with relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 7 years of specialized experience in evidence generation, HEOR, or a related field.
• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HEOR, biostatistics, evidence-based medicine, research methodology, clinical protocols, and clinical reports.
• Fluency in spoken and written business English required, along with strategic thinking, communication, presentation, organizational, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• MBA or an additional degree in health economics, health outcomes, public health, or health policy.
• Specialty Care experience in areas such as multiple sclerosis, immunology, dermatology, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, or oncology.
• Experience in managed care, field-based medical or HEOR, value and access, or market access.
