Director, Epidemiology

Location: Hybrid, with three days onsite in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, or Waltham, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $250,000–$280,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Define epidemiology research strategies for designated products in support of R&D and commercial objectives.
• Plan and execute epidemiology studies, including protocol development, data collection, management, analysis, reporting, and vendor coordination.
• Prepare epidemiological evidence for regulatory submissions, publications, technical reports, and health authority responses.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative benefit-risk assessments.
• Advance the generation and use of real-world evidence across the organization.
• Support departmental development and organizational initiatives, including best practices, SOPs, templates, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Epidemiology or a related quantitative discipline with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in Epidemiology with at least 12 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experience applying epidemiologic evidence across the product lifecycle and advising product teams.
• Experience independently leading epidemiology programs involving regulatory and methodological complexity.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with organizational process improvement or change management initiatives.
• Broad understanding of R&D and commercial development activities beyond epidemiology.
