Lead Software Engineer (.NET/Azure)

Salary: USD $130,000–$176,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable cloud-native full-stack applications using .NET and Azure.
• Establish coding standards, reusable design patterns, technical guidance, secure coding practices, and engineering documentation.
• Champion automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, release automation, and environment management.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities, including Azure AI Services, to improve Claims automation, guidance, decision support, and operational efficiency.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and provide technical leadership across architecture and modern software engineering practices.
• Partner with product, QA, architecture, security, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, compliant Claims solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including technical leadership or architecture responsibilities.
• Deep experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, dependency injection, asynchronous programming, configuration, logging, and integration patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, cloud-native architecture, microservices, REST or GraphQL APIs, event-driven systems, and Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, YAML pipelines, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code, source control, and environment management.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and integrate AI capabilities responsibly into enterprise applications.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning, or similar platforms.
• Experience integrating AI through REST APIs, SDKs, prompt orchestration, or platform services.
• Python or machine learning and deep learning framework experience, including TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with Pega or other BPM platforms, Angular or React, advanced SQL, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience in regulated industries, particularly property and casualty insurance or Claims operations.
