Sr. Software Engineer (AI)

Location: US - OR, Lake Oswego

Salary: $144,600–$198,800 per year; bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Design and implement agentic AI workflows for routine maintenance, legacy refactoring, and architectural improvement of the Vista ERP platform.
• Use AI agents to generate boilerplate code, documentation, and unit tests and accelerate feature delivery.
• Lead development across distributed desktop products, WinForms, .NET Core services on Azure AKS with Helm, and Blazor applications.
• Modernize application architecture using AI-driven patterns and distributed-system principles.
• Set coding standards and AI governance, lead architectural whiteboarding, and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Oversee unit, integration, and security automation, cloud deployment pipelines, and mentorship for junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of software engineering experience and a record of leading complex technical projects.
• Practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks.
• Expert knowledge of C# and .NET, including SQL, Entity Framework, REST Web APIs, and identity concepts.
• Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure AKS, and infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, or Helm.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing and mocking frameworks, with experience mentoring engineering teams.
• Must work in the United States at the Lake Oswego, Oregon location.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing monolithic applications into microservices with AI-assisted migration or refactoring.
• Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud portal, and GitHub Copilot or other AI coding assistant experience.
• Experience with Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
• Knowledge of construction-industry accounting or project management software.
