Sr. Software Engineer (AI)

Salary: $144,600–$198,800 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Design and implement agentic AI workflows to automate maintenance, refactor legacy code, and identify architectural improvements in the Vista ERP platform.
• Use AI agents to generate boilerplate code, documentation, and unit tests and accelerate delivery of new features.
• Lead development of distributed desktop products, WinForms applications, .NET Core services on Azure AKS, and Blazor web applications.
• Modernize application architecture using AI-driven patterns and ensure scalability, maintainability, reliability, and security.
• Establish coding standards and AI governance, lead technical whiteboarding sessions, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Oversee unit, integration, and security testing automation together with cloud deployment pipelines.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of software engineering experience and a track record of leading complex technical projects and mentoring engineering teams.
• Practical experience with large language models, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks.
• Expert knowledge of C# and .NET, with full-stack software engineering experience.
• Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, and infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, or Helm.
• Advanced experience with SQL, Entity Framework, REST Web APIs, identity and access management, authentication, and authorization.
• Mastery of unit testing and mocking frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing monolithic applications into microservices with AI-assisted migration or refactoring.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, GitHub Copilot, or other AI coding assistants.
• Experience with Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
• Knowledge of construction accounting or project management software.
