Structural Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based in Columbus, Ohio, with work in an office or client-site environment; customer site visits may be required.

What you will do

• Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and other structural systems.
• Develop calculations, design criteria, details, drawings, specifications, technical reports, and engineering studies.
• Build and maintain structural analysis and design models using engineering software, including the RISA suite.
• Apply building codes and standards, review drawings and submittals, and ensure accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
• Coordinate structural designs with architects, engineers, contractors, project teams, and other disciplines.
• Support field investigations, site visits, existing-structure evaluations, project delivery, and technical problem solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 3–5 years of experience designing industrial, manufacturing, and commercial facilities and structures.
• Engineer-in-Training certification required.
• Professional Engineer license preferred, with Structural Engineer licensure preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software, Microsoft Office, and preferably AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly, work independently, coordinate across disciplines, and perform field investigations.
