HR Business Partner

Location: Washington, D.C.; onsite in the office 2 days per week. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Salary: $125,000–$150,000

What you will do

• Advise and coach business leaders, with a focus on first-time and newly promoted managers.
• Design and facilitate leadership development initiatives, training, and manager tools.
• Lead performance management cycles, talent reviews, succession planning, and retention strategies.
• Drive workforce planning, headcount management, organization design, and scalable people programs.
• Lead employee relations matters and workplace investigations, escalating complex issues appropriately.
• Analyze HR metrics and partner on compensation reviews, promotions, recruiting priorities, and talent initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in an HR Business Partner or similar advisory role.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in HR, business administration, organizational development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience coaching leaders, designing leadership programs, and managing performance and employee relations matters.
• Experience scaling HR programs in a high-growth environment and using HR analytics and operational metrics to recommend actions.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws across a multi-state workforce.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• HR certification.
• HRIS implementation experience or hands-on Paylocity or Workday experience.
• Experience with job architecture, career frameworks, or leveling structures.
