AI Engineer (Enterprise AI)

Location: Remote, associated with Chicago, Illinois, USA

Salary: $166,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

• Own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for internal AI products and enterprise solutions.
• Lead the implementation of AI, Generative AI, and business process automation initiatives.
• Build agentic workflows, prompt engineering and evaluation pipelines, agent orchestration layers, LLM gateway integrations, RAG pipelines, and model monitoring.
• Identify and prioritize AI use cases that deliver measurable business value.
• Partner with the AI Council and business stakeholders to define requirements and product features.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, data engineers, and business teams while monitoring solution performance and outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technology, product management, business systems, AI, or digital transformation.
• Experience building enterprise AI platforms and agentic workflows.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product ownership practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, RAG pipelines, or graph-based AI solutions.
