Agentic AI Engineer - Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role across Atlanta, Nashville, and Chicago, United States

Salary: $53,580–$122,400 base compensation annually

What you will do

• Develop and integrate Python-based services, REST APIs, and AI-enabled applications.
• Build agent workflows using prompts, tools, APIs, enterprise knowledge, and structured data.
• Deploy and operate applications on Google Cloud using secure, observable, and repeatable practices.
• Configure conversational and customer-experience solutions, including virtual agents, agent assistance, and workflow automation.
• Test, troubleshoot, and optimize agent behavior, integrations, latency, reliability, and user experience.
• Create technical documentation, deployment runbooks, demonstrations, and apply responsible AI and data-handling practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Python scripting, API integration, and application development.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider; Google Cloud is preferred, with Azure or AWS also accepted.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, compute, networking, IAM, and service deployment.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as GitLab CI/CD.
• Working experience with REST APIs and JSON-based data exchange.
• Exposure to generative AI concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, and embeddings.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the Google Cloud console, Vertex AI, and Agent Platform tools.
