Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Nashville or Atlanta, United States

Salary: $68,911–$161,544 per year base compensation

What you will do

• Develop and integrate Python-based services, REST APIs, and AI-enabled applications.
• Build agent workflows using prompts, tools, APIs, enterprise knowledge, and structured data.
• Deploy and operate applications on Google Cloud using secure, observable, and repeatable engineering practices.
• Configure conversational and customer-experience solutions, including virtual agents, agent assistance, and workflow automation.
• Prototype solutions, translate business needs into technical outcomes, and troubleshoot integrations, latency, reliability, and user experience.
• Create technical documentation, deployment runbooks, and demonstrations while applying responsible AI, security, access-control, and data-handling practices.

Requirements

• Strong Python programming skills and experience with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and system integration.
• Hands-on Google Cloud application development, deployment, logging, and monitoring experience.
• Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD, Docker, and basic SQL and data handling.
• Understanding of generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and AI agents.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, troubleshooting, and learning skills.
• Willingness to learn and improve skills in Agentic AI or Google Gemini Enterprise.

Nice to have

• Experience with Genesys Cloud, NICE CXone, Amazon Connect, Dialogflow, or a similar contact-center or conversational platform.
• Experience designing customer journeys and conversation flows.
