Training and Instructional Design Specialist

Location: Fully remote within the United States, operating on Eastern Time; expected hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern. Occasional travel for training and project meetings is required, estimated at less than 5% per year.

Salary: $63,000–$70,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze learning needs across the FPS2 program.
• Design and develop clear, visually appealing, instructionally sound training materials.
• Deliver engaging learning experiences using adult learning methodologies.
• Facilitate training sessions and build organizational capability.
• Support strategic objectives through effective learning solutions.

Requirements

• U.S. public trust clearance is required. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or qualify through the Foreign National Government System.
• Foreign nationals must have lived in the United States for at least 3 of the previous 5 years and hold a valid passport and appropriate visa or work permit documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field, plus 5+ years of experience.
• Experience designing and delivering training in corporate, technical, or government environments.
• Proficiency with instructional design tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, or Vyond.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a learning-related field.
• Experience with LMS administration or learning data analytics.
• Exposure to Agile development or human-centered design.
• Industry-specific training experience in IT, cybersecurity, healthcare, operations, or related areas.
