TL;DR
Public Programs Specialist (Healthcare): Triaging and resolving member access-to-care issues while coordinating services with California Children's Services, Regional Centers, and Health Net's Empower Living Program with an accent on complex case coordination and public-agency collaboration. Focus on researching referrals, resolving escalated care issues, preparing appeals and grievance documentation, and reporting coordination-of-care activity.

Location: Remote from anywhere in the State of California; Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM PST

Pay: $23.23-$39.61 per hour

What you will do

  • Research, resolve, refer, and follow up on member access-to-care issues.
  • Coordinate referrals and complex cases with internal Health Net departments, participating physician groups, public agencies, and external partners.
  • Serve as a liaison to California Children's Services, Regional Centers, School Health Integration, and the H.E.L.P. Program.
  • Conduct escalated service coordination and monitor cases through resolution.
  • Prepare conflict-resolution documentation for Appeals and Grievances.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly coordination-of-care reports for compliance.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or completion of a Vocational Nursing, Medical Assisting, or Pharmacy Technician program.
  • At least three years of combined clinical and healthcare experience.
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted California Medical Assistant Certification, California LVN license, or Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
  • Must work remotely from California.
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted California Medical Assistant Certification and three or more years of pediatric experience are highly preferred.
