Certified Health Coach (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within a CST-based schedule; availability required for Monday–Friday shifts between 10:30am and 9:00pm CST, every fourth Saturday from 8:00am to 4:30pm CST, and six weeks of training from 8:00am to 4:30pm CST.

Salary: $21.50 per hour, or $25 per hour with NBC-HWC or CHES certification.

What you will do

• Conduct inbound and outbound engagement calls to inform eligible participants about programs and enroll them.
• Provide individualized behavior-change coaching focused on reducing health risks and supporting healthier habits.
• Make follow-up outreach calls to enrolled members without scheduled coaching sessions.
• Coordinate services and care with nurses, multidisciplinary care teams, and external vendors.
• Manage assigned schedules and caseloads, document participant interactions, and track progress and program effectiveness.
• Participate in daily and monthly meetings, presenting findings and insights.

Requirements

• Completed training from an NBHWC-certified training program.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field such as psychology, nutrition, or exercise science.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate participants and use motivational interviewing.
• Ability to use documentation software, chat tools, computer data entry, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to conduct calls while navigating software and entering data for extended periods.
• Availability for variable shifts, rotating Saturdays, the full six-week training schedule, and a hard-wired internet connection; Wi-Fi is not permitted.

Nice to have

• Active NBHWC wellness coaching or CHES certification.
• Experience delivering coaching through chat.
• Experience with contact-center benchmarks, schedule adherence, or operational metrics.
• Knowledge of smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, or sleep-related topics.
