Lead Electrical Test Technician (AI Data Centers)

Location: Fontana, California, USA; onsite production facility work with customer-site travel as needed

Salary: $31.04–$42.68 USD per hour

What you will do

• Lead assigned electrical test technicians, delegate work, support training, and address technical issues.
• Read AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams to test power distribution control houses and panels.
• Perform functional testing of HVAC, lighting, receptacles, fans, fire alarm systems, battery systems, and cables.
• Test relay panels and switchgear through current and voltage injections, high-potential testing, I/O checks, and circuit breaker simulations.
• Conduct factory acceptance testing with customers and troubleshoot issues during customer-site visits.
• Prepare technical reports and recommend modifications to resolve production problems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and an associate’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least four years of experience in power distribution electrical testing or a related field, including team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of three-phase AC/DC control circuits, power distribution, breakers, current and potential transformers, protection relays, and switchgear.
• Experience with protection relay software such as Schweitzer, AcSELerator, and GE Enervista UR.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and NEC Codes, with proficiency in electrical testing and measuring equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, wear required PPE, traverse the production facility, and travel to customer sites.
