Engineering Technician V (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Design, test, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble complex electronic and electromechanical systems, prototypes, test equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level electrical and mechanical problems independently.
• Perform complex new-system and NPI installations, field upgrades, and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing.
• Investigate issues, compile data, document findings, and recommend changes to improve product performance and manufacturing processes.
• Write technical reports, test procedures, logbooks, and other engineering documentation.
• Provide technical solutions, train junior Engineering Technicians, support procedure development, and may coordinate resources or act as a Quality Lead.

Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within the relevant technical discipline.
• Strong troubleshooting ability across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process systems.
• Ability to work from limited or no documentation and resolve problems using technical judgment.
• Strong written, interpersonal, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, climb stairs and ladders, work in tight spaces, distinguish colors, and use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in noisy and clean-room environments and use required personal protective equipment; operation of forklifts or other heavy machinery may be required.
